AWARD WINNER

Kerwin Rogers

It gives us great pleasure to recognise this man’s contribution to the community. He’s an elder of one of the seminal Caribbean families in Southampton who came as part of the Windrush generation. He’s also an oral historian, social commentator, and a family researcher. He has been a major contributor to the preservation of black history of Southampton; is community representative for the Black Archives in the South, he’s also the foremost authority on the history of that little island called St. Vincent and the Grenadines. For many years he’s been a DJ and MC well known in the region as “Night Rider”. His influence in the Caribbean is substantial. The parts that he has played are worthy of recognition.
